What is Bio-identical HRT?
Bio-identical HRT differs from traditional synthetic HRTs (commonly referred to as Premarin™, Prempro™, Provera™, and Estratab™) in a number of ways. Synthetic HRTs are made from chemical substitutes foreign to the human body, whereas bio-identical HRTs are comprised of natural hormones derived from plants and are identical in every way (hence the term ‘bio-identical’) to the hormones produced by the human body. Additionally, synthetic HRTs only come in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach whereas bio-identical HRTs are geared towards each individual.
Your Individual Therapy Program
Each individual client who walks through the doors of Sunridge Medical Wellness Centers is unique. And because of that, each bio-identical HRT treatment program we develop is also unique and individually customized to the client, involving a combination of naturopathic medicine and traditional medicine.
Prior to commencing treatment, you will meet with your doctor one-on-one to thoroughly discuss your symptoms and review your medical history. Afterwards, a few tests will be performed. Once the results have been analyzed and reviewed, you and your doctor will decide on a specific bio-identical treatment specifically tailored to best meet your needs.
